About the exam
The International Science Olympiad (ISO) gives budding talent a platform to test their skill sets and makes students ready for national as well as international competitions. The Indian Talent Olympiad team conducting the exam consists of professionals from various science fields who understand the exact requirement of students. Test questions are based on applied science, and the exam has two levels.
How to participate
- Indian Talent Olympiad conducts online and offline Olympiad exams for students of Class 1 to Class 10.
- Register through your school, or register individually online — the whole process happens online. Schools share participant names and classes with the ITO team.
- Students participating through their school take the exam in school; students enrolling individually take it from home.
- Participants can order Olympiad workbooks and previous years' question papers online.
- ITO rewards deserving students who top the Science exam in India with prizes and awards.
Syllabus
The syllabus is based on the existing school curriculum and caters to CBSE, ICSE and State boards. Class 1 starts with basic topics — plants, animals, good habits, earth, sky, transport — and content and complexity gradually increase in higher classes. Questions are a little more advanced than school exams, which is what gives participants their edge.
