About the exam
The Commerce International Olympiad (CIO) provides a unique platform for high-school students to test their analytical and problem-solving skills. Test questions are specifically crafted to assess applied knowledge in core areas such as Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies. Participation bridges the gap between the school curriculum and professional requirements, preparing students for competitive national and international landscapes.
The exam targets students in Classes 11 and 12 with a single-level assessment that benchmarks their skills against peers globally. High-ranking participants receive international, zonal and school-level awards — cash prizes, medals and certificates of excellence — which significantly bolster academic profiles for higher education and career goals.
How to participate
- ITO has introduced offline Commerce Olympiad exams for students of Class 11 to Class 12.
- Register through your school, or register individually online — the process happens online. Schools share participant names and classes with the ITO team.
- If participating through school, the exam is conducted in the students' respective school.
- Participating students can order Olympiad books online; contact your subject teacher to enroll.
- ITO rewards deserving students who top the Commerce exam in India with prizes and awards.
