Online exam terms & conditions
Study material orders
- Printed study materials, once ordered, take 15–20 days of standard delivery time.
- Students must order printed study materials according to the exam schedule and the delivery period. ITO will not entertain queries regarding orders placed a few days before the exams with a hurry in dispatch, and will not provide study material in soft copy if the order has been placed late, whatever the reason.
- If the delay in delivery is caused by the courier/postal services, ITO cannot be held responsible.
Exam conduct & proctoring
- While appearing for the online exam, students are not allowed to look around — the camera captures photos during the test. If the image captures any person other than the student, the student is disqualified. Video recording is done at the time of the test/exam only.
- If any malpractice is observed in the captured image or the audio and video recording, the student is disqualified. Throughout the test/exam, multiple images are captured randomly, and video and voice are recorded until the test/exam is completed, to detect any prompting of answers.
- Students cannot open any other tab while attempting an exam — the screen is recorded, and if this is found, the test/exam is terminated.
- Student login is for single use only. If multiple logins with the same ID and password are observed on different devices during the test/exam, the student is disqualified for that test/exam.
- Audio-video recordings and captured images will not be provided to any student/parent/guardian — they are strictly confidential.
- Online test/exam rules are strict; no negligence of rules is tolerated.
Attendance & rescheduling
- If the student fails to attend the Annual Olympiad Exam or Monthly Test for any reason, a second chance is not provided. Postponement or rescheduling is not done. The student is solely responsible for attending as per the announced schedule.
- ITO is not liable if notifications sent via SMS / email / voice call to the registered contact details are undelivered due to a wrong number or email address or a technical issue at the service provider.
Students residing outside India
- Students residing outside India should select a currency type other than INR while registering. Registrations in INR are considered Indian residents: exams run on Indian Standard Time, and book orders in INR are delivered in printed format to Indian addresses only.
- If registration is done in INR and the student appears for the exam from an abroad location, the student is not eligible for the examination. To be eligible from abroad and to receive soft-copy study materials, register in a currency other than INR.
Offline exam terms & conditions
- The study-material ordering and delivery terms above apply to schools as well: 15–20 days standard delivery, order according to the exam schedule, no soft copies for late orders, and no ITO liability for courier/postal delays.
- If a student fails to attend the Annual Olympiad Exam for any reason, a second chance is not provided — the in-charge teacher marks the student absent. No alternative date or additional chance is provided.
- Upon successful registration (online or offline), the details provided by the school are reviewed and updated in the School Login within 15–20 days; this may extend up to 25 days depending on the volume of registrations.
- For schools registering for the first time, the student School Code and School Login credentials are provided by ITO, with intimation via email and SMS.
- The student list submitted by the school is processed and uploaded to the school's login portal within 30 days (minor delays possible in unforeseen circumstances). Once uploaded, the school is notified via email and SMS within 24–48 hours.
- ITO is not liable for undelivered SMS / email / voice-call notifications caused by wrong contact details or service-provider issues.
General terms & conditions
- By registering with Indian Talent Olympiad you consent to comply with these terms. Using the site or apps includes, but is not limited to, creating an account, purchasing and using digital content, posting a review, or otherwise viewing, visiting, or using any interactive features.
- By enrolling, you permit us to add your email to the newsletter subscription list and to send regular email newsletters, promotional emails and SMS to your registered email ID and mobile number. Notifications about purely educational events may be shared with parents and students, with details formally communicated before any such process.
- All content on the site/app — including digital content and other products and services — is the copyrighted work of ITO or its suppliers. No content may be copied, republished, duplicated, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way, and no profit may be made from the material without prior written permission. If you submit any material for inclusion on the site, you grant us an indefinite, royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate and make it available, with the right to sub-license.
- No refund is given on digital content if you simply did not realise there are restrictions on its use, do not have the correct system or software required to access it, or did not check the requirements of your course before purchase. We strongly recommend testing the sample digital content before buying.
- The site grants a maximum of 5 attempts per test. Distribution and use of the content by tuition and coaching institutions for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
- On any purchase of study materials, allow at least 15–20 working days for delivery (based on India Post / courier delivery standards) from the date of receipt of the order at the ITO office. Orders placed on a national, state or regional holiday are processed the next day.
- We reserve the right to change or discontinue the offer of any digital content or other products and services at any time. Promotional discounts and special offers are subject to change and availability, cannot be used retrospectively or combined with other offers, and may be withdrawn at any time.
- All messages posted express the views of the author; the owners of ITO are not responsible for the content of any message. You warrant not to post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. The owners of ITO reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason.
- If you do not agree to the policies and Terms & Conditions laid down by Indian Talent Olympiad, you are requested not to use the website. The policies and Terms & Conditions can be changed at any time without notification; users are bound by such amendments and should visit this page regularly.
- If there is any threatening or illogical argument regarding the exams, pattern, study materials, delivery, results and/or awards — after primarily agreeing to all conditions and receiving specific resolutions to queries — the subscription and scholarship of the said participant will be terminated and results discarded. The decision taken by the management of Indian Talent Olympiad is final and binding.
- In case of any legal proceedings, every aspect shall be governed in accordance with the laws of India, and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai only.
